Hello, I realized I never introduced myself so here goes. I am a 48 year old disabled veteran who is married with 2 adult children and 2 dogs, no grandkids yet. I got into painting when I was discharged to deal with the trauma of active duty and it just blossomed from there. I also do other crafting such as crochet, knitting, spinning, model painting and I am sure there are others. I have always had an interest in the arts of all kinds. In high school I was very dedicated to music took as many music classes as I could and learned the piano, clarinet and guitar. When in college I took classes for music appreciation and listening and art history. When I took art history is when I started to grow and learn as an artist, I went to college after active duty. I have found that I prefer the medium of acrylic. I don't like how slow oils dry, but have not been able to the hang of water color. I guess those are just too wet for me. I have also done some model painting and really enjoy the detail of bringing out the personality of the piece with the paint and what seem like bringing the model to life. I am hoping once I more proficient with 3d modeling I can add that to the store as well. I also have a love of gardening and enjoy watch and caring for plants. My dream would be to have a large plot of land here in New Mexico with various animals and a large vegetable garden. I spend most of my days taking care of the house, painting and looking after my dogs. I have taken on a part time job as a Pharmacy tech just so I can get out of the house periodically. We will see how well that goes. My goal for this site is to be a self sustaining business that can grow with my art. Well that is enough for now , have a great day
